Registered Apprenticeship (the DOL system itself) Free

U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship + registered employer/union sponsors · apprenticeship

The earn-while-you-learn model: apprentices "earn a competitive wage from day one" with a "guaranteed wage increase as you develop new skills," combining paid employment with classroom instruction, and finish with "an industry-recognized and nationally-portable credential." Registered industries include advanced manufacturing, agriculture, AI, construction, education, energy, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, technology, telecommunications and transportation. The common misunderstanding: that you apply to a programme like a school. You are applying for a JOB with a sponsor, intake windows are narrow, and competition for the union building trades is heavy.

✓ Completion yields a nationally recognised, portable DOL Certificate of Completion; recognised across all 50 states
