The UA states apprentices "earn a competitive wage and benefits while you learn your trade," take regular pay increases with healthcare and retirement "without accumulating student debt," and through college partnerships can finish "as a journeyman and be just a few credits away from a college degree with zero student loan debt." The common misunderstanding: that the classroom half is a night school you pay for. It is part of the package. The real cost is the multi-year commitment and the tools.
